v6shep
Hi guys, all of a sudden today after fitting double din... Which is all I did today... On idle my car has decided to go mental on me constantly jumping from around 1k to 2.5k rpm I took a video which I uploaded 3 times to photobucket but it's still not showing Cheers Shaun
MattP
I can't think of any reason fitting a double din head unit would mess with the idle is it n/a or TT
v6shep
It's n/a matey. It's been fine all day until then lol although I know it'll have nothing to do with it, it's all I've done to the car :/
MattP
My old n/a started going nuts one day randomly and it turned out the rear of the cam covers had wrapped loads of oil into the back 3 spark plug wells. Have a look as a matter of course the seals are only a £10 the N/A ignition system is extremely simple..
v6shep
Well it has been stood around a year so that won't help. Guess that'll be my first point to look at Cheers buddy
The Raven
My guess would be the TPS. Did you take the battery off when fitting the headunit?
