MattP
Long story short I have a HKS FCD I bought new from Whifbitz along with all my other BPU bits and had them fitted on import of my Supra last August by JM Imports. Now as of last week the HKS FCD has developed a fault after about 4 months use from new in total :/ and is Trash sooooooooo.... What FCD should I get? And where can I get one ASAP as Whifbitz is closed until August the 4th for parts?
Tommyd16
I have a greddy BCC which I've never had any problems with. Just keep an eye out on eBay
Havard
Worried now as I bought the same FCD from new from Whifbitz last year. Hope it is an isolated incident..!!
MattP
Chris Wilson says he has never had issue with them so I wouldn't worry it's more where to buy at this moment in time as whifbitz parts is closed until the 4th and ebay is full of copy's. Anybody had the turbosmart unit?
MattP
So everybody not using standalone ECUs is using a HKS FCD ?
LOGIE
Mkiv.com advise against hks fcd for some reason I cant think of right now. Thor ones are supposed to be very good.

Justin Bieber
The HKS FCD I used made my car horribly lean, recorded a 17-1 ratio on a dyno! My car was misfiring and just horrible with it fitted and the boost raised, I now use a SARD ECU to eliminate the fuel cut, they are rare ECU's though, good luck finding a suitable FCD! Chris Wilson
Thanks for the text Matt. I was only joking when I said I would send the address for beer to be sent to Nice of you to offer though! If you have a mind to and you aren't returning the HKS FCD, I'd be interested in testing it and seeing if I can see what's happened to it, purely out of curiosity.
