thomo8568
Hi Where is a good place to have turbos rebuilt? I've sent a few places in the uk email, but I'm getting a prices from £200 up to £500 per turbo for replacing the oil seals. What price have people been paying? What's people's experience with turbos once rebuilt? Cheers for any help given. Ian
Mk4Gaz
I've used http://www.turborebuilduk.co.uk before in the past, when I had my mr2. They were very good, and the best price around that I could find. Really helpful guys over the phone

Ric
CR Turbos quoted me 326 per turbo for fully referb and swapping the ceramic wheels for steel, so hybridising them, good deal i think
mellonman
I had mine done by cr turbos stage 3 lasted under a year and under 8k Rebuilds are never in my experiences any good for a long tern repair, a second hand set could well do you beter so much so that a member "suprash" has rebuilt his own for peanuts, Imo when your turbos go its going single our replace with second had and if I was doing it all again stock turbos at bpu win hands down for day to day driving

trebor69
Whats the mileage on your soarer engine? Just curious as to how long the turbo's last before needing refurb....I presume it is the soarer ? They have given me the best price so far.

Didn't think he had them fully finished yet. It would be getting them balanced at the end that would be the problem for diy referb. I don't plan going over BPU power so may start looking at prices for second hand sets.

Just curious as to how long the turbo's last before needing refurb....I presume it is the soarer ? Yes it's the soarer engine. 100,000miles. But car has been sat for about 6years without moving or running much, which probably not helped. Also been hitting fuel cut which means I've probably been over booting. But I knew it was a risk when I got the soarer.

That's a really good price!
