Hi all had my car a a few months now and had this sound when i got it previouse owner said its.due to the clutch thays fitted which is what mnm.engerneering had told him

Was an auto supra has a manual r154 gb fitted with a os glichen twin plate clutch

If i put mt foot down on the clutch i can hear a churning/rattleing sound then when i lift foot of goes silent can any one help me with this ?

I have no crunching in gears and car does drive all good apart from that

If im in a high gear like 4th or 5th and im going 30 it does vibrate / rattle from somewhere an i feel the vibations dont no if this is links or jiust.an exhaust rattle etc

Don't know about aftermarket clutches . . .

But in my experience a rattle when your foot is down is usually down to a worn out clutch thrust bearing

That's completely normal for an OS Giken twin plate (sounds like a box of loose nuts being thrown around) in Japan that noise is a sign of a big power car

As said before, it's normal with a twin plate....I'd be a bit worried if it didn't rattle! Lol.

Ps: You can download an app called tapatalk which makes view the forum on your phone much easier ;)

To put your mind at rest, you could take the car to someone like me who has worked with countless R154s and twin plate clutches, stick it on a ramp, pop the inspection panels off(if they are even there) the side of the bellhousing and take a quick look.. :)
