Hammer
That looks in fantastic condition, great find. Love the wheels. With the leaking roof it will probably help if you spray and rub the seals with silicone spray (you'll be amazed how this will puff them up and bring them back to life) and make sure you clamp it down in the order given by Toyota (I have the order on a sticker under the middle arm rest/box so you should have it there). Mine leaked when I first got it but does not now, ever, as I spray it regularly and clamp it in sequence. Great looking Supra, well done. Thank you I will give the silicone a shot before I decide to order new seals. And I will take a look on which order to tighten the bolts on the roof. Wow that's clean! Thank you! Beautiful car mate nice find, verryyy low mileage too Thank you! Will be difficult to keep the miles low as it's a delight to drive Very clean car enjoy it Thank you! I will That is a beauty Thank you very much I got my timer installed and I't was easy to install but I struggled to get it programmed at first. But now it works like a charm I hid the display in the middle compartment as I like the interior stock and I don't want the cops to have something to point their fingers at. Pics are bad I know, but there wasn't much daylight left when I snapped the pictures.
David P
A Black Beauty, it's amazing that Supra's still turn up in such pristine condition.
ATB
Googled around on my VIN and stumbled across this :-) http://www.vipimports.com/Car-Toyota-22/Supra-22.htm
ATB
Got myself a Defi boost gauge which I mounted inside my broken right air vent, and I must admit it fits quite nicely. Almost like it was stock :-) I do have one issue though, whenever I floor it I go past 1 bar and I peak at 1.2. I am not 100% sure on what to do next and was hoping to get some help. 1. Drive it like it is and get a FCD? 2. Restrictor ring in exhaust? Bear in mind this is a US spec and I shouldn't need one according to the BPU article on this site. 3. Boost Controller (I do not wish to put this in my car unless it's absolutely necessary, due to MOTs.
j_jza80
1.2 bar is the maximum you really want to go on stock Turbos anyway
ATB
I am just afraid it's to high. Should I be safe with that and just get a FCD as last mod?
black_widow87
Thought the US turbos could boost to 1.4 safely ? - - - Updated - - - Thought the US turbos could boost to 1.4 safely ?
j_jza80
You can run 1.4 bar, but the turbos are past running efficiently at that level. You should be hitting Fuel Cut if you're at 1.2 bar, if you're not it probably means a FCD is already fitted.
ATB
I am hitting fuel cut, so I should probably get a FCD then to avoid any engine damage. Thank you for the help, much appreciated mate :-)

Luxluc
Supra is coming along nicely. I ran my euro-spec turbos for 2 years at 1.4 bar.
ATB
Thank you! Which means that my steel blades turbos should be good to go :-) I'll invest in a FCD this winter.
