SPG
Okay so I had a little time with the Sup yesterday, so I decided to tackle a few jobs: First things was the CF Scuttle Panel: 5 screws removed from scuttle using a Phillips screwdriver: Next came off the wiper bolt covers and then using a 12mm socket on a ratchet, the wiper arms were off. Remember to mark the wiper arm positions, as it saves fiddling later on Next up, I used long nosed pliers to remove the weather strip and the black plastic clips holding the scuttle down: On either side of the scuttle, there are christmas tree fixings which needed removing: Weather strip The Scuttle should now come out easily, like so: "What Lies Beneath". Not a pretty sight under the scuttle, so I decided to clean it with some APC. Before APC, and application: After:

SPG
Okay, so after a quick clean up I decided to offer up the new Scuttle: The scuttle is secure, but requires a small trim with a dremel near the off side hinge, as its just sitting ever so slightly proud on that side. Dr Stewart is going to be looking at it tomorrow, so it should be snug by tomorrow night

The Scuttle cavity has intakes for the heater under the front wings as well as in the scuttle panel itself.

SPG
Next up, I moved onto the strut brace. Old brace: 14mm on a ratchet to take the strut bolts off: And off it came. Notice the VVTi badge has left its mark , and this pic was taken before securing the scuttle down correctly. A little bit of re-positioning, and the Carbing went on . Not the best pics to show the Brake Master support, but it fits nice and tight. Next up, I moved on to the Cusco rear brace. Carpet was lifted up and backwards, to expose the interior trim/turret covers. The existing covers are a little, well, POOP! So, I have ordered new items from Mr T. Bolts exposed: 12mm if I remember correctly. Bolts removed and brace offered up. So at this point, I needed to separate the centre section of the brace and leave the strut mounts attached. The centre section was removed so that I could work out where I had to cut the carpet, in order for the centre section to poke through, instead of it being covered by the carpet. So I made two incisions with a stanley blade, vertical slips running along the knuckle of the mount. I then fed the centre bar back through the slits and tightened it all back up, here are the results: Some of you may notice the white under section of the carpet, I certainly did, so with the help of my black marker pen, I coloured the slips in. Much better Edited July 18, 2014 by SPG (see edit history)
SPG
Next job was removing the Pre-facelifts and installing the newly purchased Facelift lights. Cataracts out: Ready for new eyes: And unfortunately that's all we have time for folks, well until Sundays Show
