natony
She's back after a ton of fabrication work on the Twin turbo setup, 6 row intercooler setup, custom oil cooler setup, miscellaneous and engine bay repainted Over the next few weeks she should be back up. Waiting on the new ECU setup. Here are a couple of picks http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z465/TBoy19121/c4621c3e11765f13636322047c1a2912.jpg http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z465/TBoy19121/aa42da7a4cd02d4206d7f0ce7acac311.jpg http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z465/TBoy19121/2c4d04fd1b750a9f59857db685e5d118.jpg http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z465/TBoy19121/18413867f3a17b5c1f89a0355c2ea161.jpg Plenty more to come! Philly_1 Lex
SO it has been a long time since I’ve updated this thread. I post mostly on facebook but definitely still have a lot of mates who still look just on the forum. The setup has been modified from what it was originally but still stayed true to its Big Twin Turbo setup goal. And I wanted it to be something truly unique. I can’t give enough praise to Lee @SRD and his team for guiding me in the right direction with my build and putting together arguably THE BEST Damn Big Twin Setup ever My 97 USDM LHD TT6 World first HKS TWIN GT3RS Kitted Supra Built 3.4L Stroker 9.5:1 SRD Stage 5 VVTi Head Kelford V202-D Cams SYVECS ECU LQ9’s Tweaked/SRD Custom Mil spec harness Sleep Designs Custom FFIM Etc... And a bunch of other stuff. Just happy to finally happy to have it back up and running. Nothing like a MKIV Supra. Currently being built and tuned @ SRD but it will be coming back home to the USA soon. Would not be possible without the team at #SRDTUNING Thanks so much Lee. Truly a class act and helped me make my dream come true Update: First numbers are in More Updates coming soon. First Dyno Numbers are now available... 902.51 whp/717.17 ft lbs of torque @ 1.8 bar on pump petrol (98RON)... Super impressed with results so far. Car still has more.We are going up to 2.0 bar tomorrow. Then we are going to be mapping for E85 as well. Time to start the discussion again of what capable MODERN TWIN Setup can do on a 2JZ..... Ric
Whats the lag like though? that was always the issue on big twins. What RPM do you see max boost by, looks around 4500rpm? Car looks epic though, i've always liked the look of big twins and not many around with it now.
WayneW
I've seen it when I visited Lee, nice LHD example I wish I could find one too… Great build there, congrats !

markssupra
Awesome results Terrance, max torque at 4500 is brilliant, almost 2000 rpm earlier than mine. I might have to swap my GT2835's for a pair of GT3RS, and go manual lol So pleased for you mate, its been a long time coming and finally you have the car you want, awesome work by SRD once again! Thank you very much. It took longer than expected to get to this point but was definitely worth it. It comes on as quick as a mid frame single turbo. ^ This Whats the lag like though? that was always the issue on big twins. What RPM do you see max boost by, looks around 4500rpm? Car looks epic though, i've always liked the look of big twins and not many around with it now. Thanks for the compliments. You have a stunning car as well. As Mike says car is making power extremely fast. Torque is silly. Definitely not like any twin kit we normally see on the 2JZ. Also these are normal petrol numbers not e85 numbers yet

Thank you so much Mark. Definitely a huge win for us “Big Twin” cars. I also truly appreciate your help and friendship throughout this build. Now you definitely have to make it to SRD for pics before it leaves!
markssupra
It was my pleasure mate, glad I could do my little bit for you. I might be able to get down to SRD this Saturday if Lee is happy to accommodate me, I think Gary (keyless) wants to take the pics. Also got a cars n coffee meet not too far away as well.
