Hi all..

I have some rust appearing here

What's the best way to sort this.. And what products to use to cover it and stop it returning?

I was thinking of removing the bootlid lightly sanding the effected area and then using some hammerite high temperature Matt black spray paint?

Would this be okay or am I best off using something else?

My lid is carbon fibre so no rust there ;)

I've got the same issue with mine, just waiting for a day or so to get it sorted. My local place said they would paint it but that I would need to remove the boot lid. From what I understand that can be a bit tricky as you have all the wiring and washer tubes etc. They said that it's fine to paint with a rattle can as it's not polished paint anyway so I see their point :) saving up for a full respray so just to stop it getting worse.

Reason I say two people is that I attempted to undo it.. With it undone and swaying I regretted my decison immediately and had to call my mate over to help .. And he helped me put it back on too by steadying it whilst I sat in the boot to align it..

May have been more difficult mine being CF.. But it was an arseache!!
