T14PPA
Im after a bit of advice. Im looking to buy my own welder. But im a bit confused as to what one suits me best. Im looking at buying a used one. I know it might sound too much to ask for but id like to weld car parts, aluminium and stainless. Is this possible? I heard clarke 151te are supose to be decent but any advice would be great. shaky
Best to do some reading up on it, it's nothing like mig, watch a few vids on youtube, i've posted one for you to get the idea, spec comes down to what you want, it's not worth my while buying one but ok if you can earn your cash back, if it's small bits you need doing just pay someone. T14PPA
I basically want it to do custom intercooler piping on my car. Exhaust work. And bits and pieces that a normal mig would do
shaky
It's cheaper just to get someone with the correct welder, sure you can change the gas and wire, i even have a large reel of alloy in the loft, you need a big mig and it comes out crap anyway, tig is the best for alloy and stainless steel, look on ebay for a 2nd hand one ,hire the gas and have a go.
