Chris Wilson
The caliper is wrong, I would certainly want to replace it with one that matches the other side.
straightsix
After a bit of Googling I'd be inclined to agree. Would this then create a problem for me? Will it actually fit? It will fit but as Chris says - I wouldn't want a mismatched pair. I've got a pair of GS430 calipers in my shed (same as the GS300/400) but they need refurbing as the piston seals are gone. Kendo11
Unbelievably and incredibly I have repaired/replaced and fitted everything (sourced the correct caliper in the end) and took it to a garage today for a seal of approval and now the drivers side one has a miniscule hairline crack near the bleed screw bit. Can this be repaired using a high strength metal epoxy type product or do I need yet another caliper?
Benjy
No. You need another caliper. Get a wanted thread up. Failing that, I'm sure Bignum's got a UK conversion for sale.
Kendo11
Ffs. Was hoping I would be able to seal it. The absolutely infuriating thing is that after the problem with the passenger side one, I only finger tightened this one.
