Replacing valve stem seals

I'm not a fan of stuffing rope inside my engine. If the seals are gone I'd say it's going to be worth removing all the carbon deposits from the valves had giving the head a refresh.

John are you at the Durham dyno day next sat? If you are a can have a bit crack what's the best way to go about it.

Me neither I'm not thinking about rope was thinking more compressed air instead

Yeah I'm going Shaz.

The best way to do the stem seals IMO opinion is take the head off. Yes it's costly but as far as I'm concerned it's the right way to do it.

Speak to you Saturday bud.

Agreed.. Head off, Clean, Skim, Lap valves, V stem oil seals(I have a Snap-on tool for these, it's awesome), Water pump, Cam belt/Tentioner/Idler, etc.. I usually get a full engine gasket kit from Toyota which includes Head Gasket, Rocker Covers, Cam Seals, Front & Rear Main Seals, Valve Stem Oil Seals, Loads of other Gaskets, Seals, O rings, etc etc..
