Gretie22
Starting my spark plug cover today, that's going to be red. Obviously the writing will just be sprayed over, but once it's dry I'd like the paint the wording black, I'm not sure I could trust myself with a paintbrush though. Has anyone else done the wording a different colour once sprayed and how did you do it? I was thinking maybe a tiny roller (if you can buy those) or is that a stupid idea? wile e coyote
What about spray the lettering the colour before the whole cover then either before dong cover mask it off or possible to remove cover colour from lettering via rubbing or sanding Just a thought
DaveR
I think the only way to guarantee accuracy would be to use a (fine) model brush and a small tin of paint. I think a roller would cause runs and or drips and there'd be no easy way of masking it up. Take your time and I'm sure it'll be fine! Gretie22
Hmmm think I may just have to go to a model shop buy the smallest brush they have and try and keep a steady hand
clay
If you look in my garage. i did mine by rubbing down the letters first. witch tacks it back to black then when painted just cleaned the letters back off.

Dim Sum
Love the fuse box cover. How did you do that?! Same here, liking the fuse box. Let me guess: sprayed it black (fuse box) the stig minion must either be a stencil or maybe a vinyl ?

Gretie22
Decided not to paint the lettering as I didn't want to ruin it, might be brave at a later date. This is my engine bay now those few things are done http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/01/pygama5u.jpg Still got a few bits and bobs to paint, there's scrubbing to do and I'm waiting on my new red hoses also I need to find a battery cover.
