George86
hi, another guy in the club is going to sell me his ecu for toyota supra 2jzge na auto, but there is a difference with mine. My ecu has these codes: 89661-14600 (175700-4763). His ecu these: 89661 -14600 (175700-4761). does anyone know if it is a problem if the second code is the last number different? thanks in advance. slow8dirty
Couldn't say for certain, but very probably not. My old ECU was giving lots of problenms as it was dying, replaced with another, car now running sweet as a nut. My second numbers went from 175700-4761 to 175700-4762 on the replacement with no issues. Well I say no issues, I keep getting a Speed sensor No2 fault code but transmission still works fine. Its very possible this is a wiring issue and nothing to do with the new ECU, as things have been disturbed down below and behind the dash. Other than that the car has now run smoothly for over 600 miles
Nic
89661-14600 is the Toyota part number for the 2JZGE Supra ECU, if you were to order a brand new one from Toyota that would be the part number you would give them. I don't know what the 2nd number is (at a guess it may be a production code), as long as the main part number is correct then it should work fine.
