TJsTT
The greddy profec is the newest one of that line, I'm in the same boat as you and that's the one I'm going for.
Ric
I dont know why people use a boost controller tbh? With the right restrictor ring etc you see 1.2bar all day and save 200+ £
TJsTT
My car won't go up past 0.9-1.0b without a boost controller.
Ric
My car won't go up past 0.9-1.0b without a boost controller. Fit a wider RR then

Nic
It's got a 1.2b restrictor ring. There's not really such thing as a 1.2bar restrictor ring, it's not an exact science, the amount of boost a particular car makes depends on a number of factors, exhaust type, decat size, IC, ambient temp, etc. You could just file out the hole in the restrictor ring a little which will make it less restrictive and should raise the boost, although come the winter when the air is colder/denser you'll find it boosts even higher. I'd personally recommend fitting a good quality electronic boost controller as this will give you a lot better control of the boost and how the wastegate operates. Here's a post I made a while back which may help. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?245861-boost-controller-questions&p=3109271&viewfull=1#post3109271 Edited June 26, 2014 by Nic (see edit history)
Guest Jason1
I use a AVCR Took me a while to learn how to set it up But worth it, spools earlier and set your boost and it holds rock steady Also learns and adjusts itself Good bit of kit.
