Angie
what about a Z3 BMW, he can pick one of them up for £12,000. Although not a Supra, the higher engine models can be nippy. They are not too girlie Or more Girlie options; MX5, or MG,
michael
Doesn't work out on age but it's got lower mileage than a lot of X reg cars and will be much more fun than some fancy hot hatch with no roof: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=45465

LeeT
it would have to be a honda s2000 for me
heckler
Even though my Dad has just got an 3L Z3, I'd say MX5 - much more fun...
Bobbeh
it would have to be a honda s2000 for me Agreed. Reliable, good looking, quick, but expensive to insure. You can pick them up for this and lower these days.
S7EVE
From an ex S2000 owner, there is only one choice... Insurance is quite expensive but worth every penny. If he can stretch a couple of extra grand, go for an 02 or newer, facelift model with Glass rear window, trust me he will not be disappointed with one of these... Just make sure you can feel that vtech kick in, else could spell problems! Check out the s2ki.com for more info, and some bargain, cherished motors! Kopite
If not a TVR, I'd get the later version MR2 - some lovely examples out there! Either that or a s2000 even though they're meant to be a bit disappointing to drive
