lust2luv
So is the NA engine (just 2JZ-GT by the sounds of it) on the list? Mine's being MOTed next Monday - first time without cats - and I'm wondering if it'll stand a chance of passing? It's a '95. Any tips to improve chances of passing? I normally run Optimax, would any other fuel lower emissions?
Guest Martin F
NA is a 2JZ-GE and may not be in the MOT testers book as it was never sold in this country.

lust2luv
Cool, cheers Mark! Surprised this hasn't come up before - guess NA decat pipes haven't been readily available for that long.
dude
Hey Mark How about if the chassis plate is missing (failiure) then it has to have a non cat test but when you take it back the next day with the chassis plate re-attached it will pass , Chassis plate can be checked without a full retest . Steve W
Supposed to take the ENGINE TYPE/NUMBER off the block, NOT off the chassis plate.... BUT, if they can't read the block stamping . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [that was the other 'option' with my bloke.......... unofficially]
