SupraP-Z
Ive succesfully removed 3 nuts from my stock lip (the ones that attach it to the front bumper via a metal rail)...the rest are spinning the whole bolt. Now from feeling it, the top is some sort of rectangular head, and there is no space whatosever to grip it with pliers or anything of the sort. Ive been at it for hours now, and im really starting to get p!ssed off lol. I spent half an hour trying to carefully dremel one off, but it was still stuck fast, managed to get the nut off that one eventually....but there seems to be more of it or a sleeve/guide thing, so i still cant pull the bolt out from the top. How the hell do you remove these things??!?!
Fizzy T
I've got one that's loose on the end too, doing my head in as it's making a horrible clicky noise constantly when I drive.
SupraP-Z
Ive tried everything on it...cant believe one measly bolt take this amount of work!!! I got my calipers off quicker than this, and they have been on the car since factory!
trebor69
The tops have two flat sides that fit into the rail to stop them spinning .....but if the threads are corroded they will just end up spinning ( as I guess yours are) quickest way would be to cut the nuts off and replace the bolts. mwilkinson
I replaced the lip on my stock bumper the weekend before last. I had the same issue, in that the stock bolts spun free from the compressed mounting on the aluminium rail as the nuts had seized to the bolt. In the end I took the front bumper off the car and had to cut the nut off the bolt. I was then able to remove the aluminium rails and take the damaged stock bolts out. I replaced the damaged ones with M6 nuts and bolts.

Thats exactly whats happening. what a PITA! I replaced the lip on my stock bumper the weekend before last. Dremeling through the nut without damaging the plastic is proving to be a lot harder than i thought - especially it being up on axle stands on my drive. I drilled through the nut horizontally, but the way the nut is, there is a flat bit at the end almost like a washer, which sits flush against the bottom of the front bumper. so it still doesnt budge - Its driving me nuts! Yep, you'll have to take the bumper off and do it.
