novak
Hi Guys, tried to reply in the classifieds but probably do not have an access. Today we went to have a look at the car, which is advertised on ebay: 1998 6speed manual TT - white with shitty front bumper. Few people was asking how is the car.............................. Car is a complete shitbox worth £2-3k for spares - engine sound fine although overfilled with oil, rusted everywhere.... The main concern is body and chassis - I never seen so much rust...I reckon car drowned at some stage and spend some time or been used as a submarine... We found multiple holes underneath and all suspension points were rusted to the stage you could peel off metal with your fingers. Guy covered everything with some black crap but still you can see there is no metal left. Brakes rusted - no existent, mileage hmmm....never seen leather seat bolsters with no leather left....or interior in such a bad condition. All body panels over sprayed without being taken off or covered...rusting saying hello from every gap. I know that no one, which have some basic knowledge about mechanics would buy this car but this is a warning for too excited people.....which goes buys without looking. Ohh....you need to see the seller......very entertaining....car power, through discussion it went down from 400bhp to 360 then to 320.....so no one knows what car really pulls... Stay away!!! jamesmark
Was it that one that was posted on here, by a trader or someone pretending not to be a trader. Then it was sold within a few hours but we all knew it wasn't sold as it was still on eBay. That Supra?

Nic
It's facelift but with a non vvti engine? Between May 96 and Sept 97 all facelift TT's were factory fitted with the non-VVTi 2JZGTE, the VVTi 2JZGTE was introduced post Sept 97. If it really is a 98 it should have the VVTi engine. jamesmark
Nice to see that if the OP comments are accurate we have a dishonest member, squirting a load of, creating a sticky mess that could leave a bad taste in your mouth. (Ok member puns over) But yeah, interesting indeed that we could have a rip off merchant.
Havard
It does look a mess in the pictures but not rusty to me. Obviously pictures only tell about 30% of the story in any advert. H.
imi
Agree- doesn't look like a rust bucket in the pics.
