JamieP
And what power/torque do you have? Cheers.
Guest Budz86
Doubt it'll handle what you want it to mate. Heard the stage 2+ is pretty good and with a near stock peddle feel too.
JamieP
I said that to Lee, but he said stage 1 has yet to slip on any car, he said stage 2+ may judder. I might go with the HKS LA twin again as that's an awesome clutch, but if I can save a few quid and the spec will hold it, I might try that. Littler
Didn't Imi have the spec stage 1 clutch in his single?
Lee P
Didn't Imi have the spec stage 1 clutch in his single? Yeah Imi had one in his Alex (drift bear) has one also
Sukhy
I've heard the Spec stage 3a was the better of the lot. Unsure about peddle feel though.
Benjy
Alex (drift bear) has one also Yeah but he drives like a girl...

Abz
Didn't Imi have the spec stage 1 clutch in his single? Yep and that went through some use with daily London driving and he was running just under 600bhp if I remember correctly. I also vaguely remember him praising the pedal feel. Guest Budz86
I'd be a bit worried about the torque rating only being 575ft lbs....purely because I know what you're like! Lol. I thought about the spec stage 2+ but have gone with a twin plate instead. May not have been the right choice for a daily though!
JamieP
What twin plate did you buy Dean?

Luxluc
Probably right mate. Don't start twice mate ... once the right one
JamieP
I've still got the clutch from Noel's car at Lee's, held 700bhp but was a little heavy.
Sukhy
My Carbonetic twin plate is pretty much right on standard clutch pedal feel. Still breaking it in too. Put 200 miles on it so far.
JamieP
I've rather have the HKS LA Twin over that tbh dude, it's only £1700 an all if you can get trade.
Guest Budz86
An OS Giken. Always heard good things about them but wondering if the rattle is going to wind me up
JamieP
That will be a good clutch, clutch rattle is a wind up though, might put you off using the car.
Guest Budz86
Hmm, that's what I don't want. Hopefully won't be too bad but if it is, I'll have to go with a single plate. Got a good price on the OSG so it's worth a punt
Jellybean
subscribed Was thinking a Spec Stage 1 due to price or an OsGiken RC3 or TR2CD Edited June 8, 2014 by Jellybean (see edit history)

I wasn't trying to sell you the Carbonetic clutch I was just making a point that not all twin plates have a heavy peddle feel.
JamieP
Twin plates are always light on the peddle, old ones use to loud and hard to live with, they are a lot better these days though. Anyone got the spec twin plate? Only £1400 and if you read the bumf it sounds a nice clutch, rated to big numbers.
