Greddy intake manifold - No idle regulator - Solution?

Evening People.

I have a Greddy intake manifold installed on my Supe. The manifold was installed when I bought the car a year ago.

The problem with this manifold is that there are no idle regulator which mean that the RPM is going up and down when idling.

To begin with I didn't mind but now I am close to going crazy.

If any of you have a Greddy installed, how did you fix the idle problem? Weld a standard regulator on the manifold?

Bonus question: The car is today idling between 1200-1600 RPM. I know it is possible to adjust the idle via the idlescrew but I have read somewhere that this could effect the car somehow? Sounds strange to me, but one guy claimed that he needed to "re-map" his car just becuase he adjusted the idlescrew. Is this correct ?

Speaking from 1JZ experience (same setup as the 2) if you mess with the idlescrew on the throttle cam the ECU setup will be screwed as the TPS is never going to the fully closed position. The fix on the 1J is not to adjust the idle screw but I suppose it is possible to re-map an aftermarket ECU.

Adjusting the Throttle cable/Throttle Body Screw is not a real solution.

GReddy would presume people buying that manifold would probilly be putting it on a race car where an IACV isn't critical.

If you use the car as a road car, I'd say get an IACV on there. You could take the manifold and an IACV to a fabricator and get them to weld a flange on so you can bolt it on. Presumably you still have the wiring in place?
