So as thread title states this is something I am considering. I don't yet own a supra, that's just going to be a waiting game to see what comes up. I do however have the 1uz already.

I want to know what prep I should be looking at for the engine, what boxes work best with this conversion and any other hiccups I can expect to see along the way.

Thanks guys

Look on lextream they have plenty of info on the subject. However what car is the 1uz out of? I understand you have to get a soarer rather than an ls400 as the sump profiles are different.

It'll pretty much bolt straight in.. The wiring is where you'll be pulling you're hair out..

There's a few options for Trans, R154 is the most common, although I use ABCclutch conversion kits which use E46 M3 6spd Getrag. Iv also seen Datsun 350z 6spd conversions etc, but this box isn't as strong as the M3 box.

With the ABCclutch kit you get everything for an easy fit, a cnc machined conversion plate with locating dowls, custom flywheel, Tilton Twin Plate 7" Race Clutch, release hub components, bolts, etc.. Iv done a few of these, theres no pissing about, bolt it up and go:)

Pm me if you want any more details on it:)
