Abz
Might be a silly question but thinking out loud here. I have put an exhaust bung into my RSR exhaust system as we are doing a couple of long trips & as amazing as the car sounds on the motorway it can be annoying with drone. My question is, will having a bung on a car with no cats cause any issues with the engine\turbo? I am thinking along the lines of back pressure etc. Thoughts... TheTurtleshead
Shouldn't put your foot down with the bung in Abzy..! Cruising only.
Luxluc
You have a Syvecs mate..correct?
Lee P
You can run it with the bung in no problem, not as bad as a restrictor ring!
Big Supes
Can't see it being any more restrictive than the stock exhaust.
TheTurtleshead
You can run it with the bung in no problem, not as bad as a restrictor ring! I thought you mashed the tip on your Ti with the bung in and a bootful? That's what I'm scared of with mine anyway!
Luxluc
Lee tested mine with the silencer @ 1 bar of boost on my current setup (around 700 at the hubs) on full throttle. There was no problem .. the Syvecs would nevertheless reduce the power when EGT get too high.
JamieP
I thought you mashed the tip on your Ti with the bung in and a bootful? That's what I'm scared of with mine anyway! You need two bolts or they try and twist out at full boost.
TheTurtleshead
Sounds like Abz just needs a quiet exhaust...! Want to buy a Brand New Tanabe mate?
Luxluc
You need two bolts or they try and twist out at full boost. I have only one mate .. and it looks fine. I have to admit that I hardly ever use the silencer ... I only drive the 2bar of boost calibration .. haven't tried pussy mode yet :d

No that was launch control, I advise against using launch control with a bung in plus mine was 700hp then On a stock car its no problem at all, single cars keep the boost down and get the map checked with it in. mellonman
I had mine mapped with a bung in .have been around brands a few times with it in as its the only way to pass the noise limit not had any issues
Nic
Or you could just get an extra silencer welded into the RSR mid pipe.
