Jellybean
Hey I get a dull clunk/thud passenger side when I hit a pot hole or bad bump in the road Car was off the road for 6 months , back on today and it did not have this before Work carried out while off the road, front brake discs and Brake Caliper refurb Any idea's/suggestions? bignum
Start by checking all nuts and bolts on that side ie arms/ arb/ wheel nuts, also if the brakes have been off check the caliper mounting bolts and if you have uk bakes check the pad anti rattle spring hasnt fallen off, i lost 1 recently and when going over bumps it sounded like the front of my car was going to fall off. Jellybean
Thanks guys, Forgot to add i just got the wheels balanced, front wheel vibration is there; I dont know if they need to be rebalanced or if something in the suspension is causing it Maybe a symptom too of a balljoint gone

Jellybean
More info I was trying to replicate the noise by modulating the brake pedal at slow speed, she clunks when you press the brakes or going over a bump (I.e. Ramp) May a loose Calliper
Ian C
Doubtful it's a loose caliper, more like loose brake pads in the caliper They can sound awful.

Dnk
Any chance these would vibrate out after the first long drive? Just paranoid now if that was the case No, the only way they can come loose is because they've not been tightened up properly

Jellybean
Made me paranoid about my car now as I have a very simaler clunk I could tighten my fronts with the car on the ground and wheels on, just turn the wheel out , 17mm socket and Ratchet Rear Calipers, I could only get the rear lower bolts with a ratchet and Top bolts I will need wheels off
