Guest gooner10
Thanks for the info Ric, I did do a search but found none of the links described the symptoms I'm getting, not too sure how to use the diagnostic check thingy either. The engine sounds sweet as a nut and when she runs properly she goes like a bomb. The fault seems to come and go so something is on it's way out but not quite gone yet . The revs can sometimes go high on tick over the O/D and S/C flash alternatively also she doesn't want to kick down every time...but that's intermittent. I just don't want to go into a garage and get ripped off, I feel that some of you good folks on here must have had the same problem with their mkiv's and be able to point me in the right direction. I'm a total newbie but keen to learn, not too sure on the abbreviations also atm but getting there. very grateful for any advice given. T14PPA
This happened to me and it was due to throttle position sensor. Mine had moved a touch so wasnt at the correct position
Sukhy
Looks to me like it detected a little slip and the slip control kicked in limiting the power. Aren't you able to just press the slip control button to turn it off again which should return the performance back to normal?
