C_Strike
myello I have a 93 jspec tt. Somehow the garage has 'forgot' to tighten a wheel nut which has resulted in a broken stud pin thing. Now I know its a simple enough job to knock whats left out of the.pin back through and replace it, but does anyone know the size I need? Its for drivers front wheel if it matters. Hope that makes sense lol Edited May 27, 2014 by C_Strike (see edit history)
jazz1
Your better of going for ARP wheel studs they much stronger.

jazz1
I had the same issue on mine they snapped easily so I replaced them with new stock ones, but after finding out about the Arp ones iv now decided when I have gone big BHP I want these, plus I run big wheels so makes sense to upgrade them. Dnk
Never had a wheel stud break on any car i've ever owned, including both my supras, even with 11.5" x 19" rears fitted on my last bpu tt. Toyota studs will be fine on a bpu car, the studs only broke because its not been correctly tightened up, did they over tighten it ? I don't see how it would break if the other 4 were correctly tightened. I'd be concerned about the rest of them
jazz1
Must be age, personally I would go with Arp.
Dnk
It's usually down to them being over tightened which stretches the stud weakening it
C_Strike
Il loosen the other bolts to check. Im going to place an order for 4 sets of arp studs from titan motors but am I right in assuming that may take a while coming from america? I could really do with buying just one to keep me rolling until the arps arrive. i will try merlin motors as thats 5mins away from me.
