markssupra
Just about ready to get start putting my engine back together. The company that machined my block gave me a tube of Loctite 5699 sealant. Is this any good for the oil sumps, oil pump and rear crank seal? Only reason I'm asking is because when I checked the spec it doesnt say its oil resistant. Apart from the Toyota FIPG, is there an alternative or the one I have is OK. Kirk
I go with Loctite 5900 for anything engine related. I use 5699 only on autobox sumps or diff's.
