Kendo11
Afternoon. Currently have my car on axle stands so as to sort what I think is air in the power steering system. It's also been leaking bad. I'm doing the engine off lock to lock thing and if I've read previous threads right, the fluid should overflow? Mine is just staying at the cold level and not overflowing at all, and I'm not seeing a great deal of air bubbles either. Main question is - if it's not overflowing, what's wrong with it? As for the leak, can I use a power steering leak sealer? Thanks
Kendo11
Starting to see a few small air bubbles when I dip the cap in and out but still no bubbling up
Swampy442
Can you see where its leaking from mate? I cleaned the area thoroughly when I fitted that pump, it should be fairly obvious.
Kendo11
Bloody everywhere haha. I've topped it up with leak sealer, and will be ordering a new unit tonight.
Swampy442
Haha, there must be one spot, theres only 1 high pressure connection, maybe its the crush washer? I'm home until wednesday night if you want me to have a look?
Kendo11
It might be the washer mate. To be honest with the wheel wobbly too I'm just going to order a replacement one and hope it's better than the last one. Plus I'm away tomorrow. Taking it on a 4 hour drive. ...risky
