Hi ...Like a doughnut I've gone and drained the battery on my totally standard UK Supra TT and now that I am charging it I can't get the alarm to turn off so I can start the car ....The gentleman I purchased the car from seems to think that a fully charged battery is need 1st ,, then remove the fuse marked DOME ...then re connect the battery ...refit the fuse marked DOME and it should be good to go but I'm struggling big time guys ...I have the round key that turns the alarm SUPPOSEDLY off but that does nothing ...I have fitted new batteries to both standard Toyota fobs and they do nothing ...

Anyone who may no the trick to get this going would be much appreciated ...Taz 07770613987

Advanced search for 'Alarm synchronise' and look for a thread started by DSK it has detailed instructions for the uk system.

I would post a direct link but on an ipad and can't see the URL to cut and paste.....

I've bumped the old thread, it's in supra chat......

Ooooh ...so close and yet so far ...The second option with removing the negative terminal almost worked and allowed me to start the car with no problems but then when I went to start it again the alarm just went off again ....I have the round key that has the niblet sticking out and have found the alarm siren under the bonnet next to the battery but no matter what way I turn it ( 9 o clock or 12 o'clock ) it still has the siren going off ...and it's as if the siren is in the boot and I can't find it ...anyway ...gutted I can't get it started

The siren in behind the drivers side plastic panelling near the speaker. All the plastic will need to be removed to get to it, unless you can find the cable under the door strip plastic.

Thanks Kev ...I'm going to have to try and get a mobile car alarm person to look at it ...such a stupid thing to do ...

Same happened to my car. I got it pulled out as these drain the battery and I dont think its easily fixed. Toyota can't / won't fix this because its so old and outdated. If the siren next to the battery doesn't deactivate then just pull out that cabel which is going into the siren. For the siren inside, you have to do as Kev says. My advise, get rid of it and install a new one. I think the ecu / main board for the alarm is under the drivers seat. Good luck, hope you get it running soon.

This is exactly what I am going to do ...After patiently trying everything all you helpful guys have suggested I am getting it stripped and new one put it before I set about it with a club hammer ...LOL ...Cheers Freeland ....it would have been nice to have kept it standard as the 2 Original Toyota fobs are in great shape

I would be interested in your fobs if you are getting rid of them :)

Thanks Jamie ...that's good of you buddy ...just popping the gum shield in for round ten with this alarm ...I'll let you know how it goes ...Interior is coming out today anyway as having it re trimmed so will check those fuses also

Marcus ...you can gladly have the Fobs mate if it all goes pear shaped and a new alarm is fitted

A couple of years after getting my UK TT6 the battery went dead.... the stock scorpion security system went in to full anti-theft mode with no effective method of resetting it.

I tried all those things you have already done, dome fuse, castle key, button pressing, battery terminals etc. etc. nothing worked.

I then looked at it as a chance to upgrade the outdated system and fitted a new alarm with additional sensors and options for re-set if the battery goes flat in the future.

I have had my fair share of trouble with the UK factory alarms, here's my take. Now they are old the NiCad battery in the sounder goes flat. i believe it is needed to store the key fob code, so when an alarm with a duff battery has the car's main battery disconnected, or go flat, the alarm loses the key fob code and defaults to immobilising. When I saw a lot of these this is what i did. Put a working battery in the car, and leave on trickle charge, connected to the car's electrics overnight. Ensure the key fob battery is good. Leaving the charger on the car battery put the fob very near the driver's door and press the unlock button for at least 20 seconds. that *SHOULD* allow the alarm unit to see the fob code and retain it, SO LONG as the vehicle main battery is not disconnected again or allowed to go flat. Whether the NiCad in the alarm itself is accessible and could be renewed i have no idea. Using a radio code "code saver" jump battery when removing the main vehicle battery, or disconnecting it, SHOULD allow the alarm to retain the fob code.

I hate none factory (and the UK one isn't really factory, as in built into the car by Toyota), alarms, and find the most reliable ones are those sat unopened on a delaer's shelf :) And the more "extras" an alarm does, the more butchery of the wonderful stock harness and the more points of trouble or failure.
