After Market and OEM Double Din Head Units

Hey people,

Can anyone recommend a stock oem looking double din headunit which sits nicely into the dash? Ideally one that sits in flush and doesn't stick out from the dash at all, like most do.

Or has anyone got the oem one like in the photo kicking about? I don't generally listen to music in the Supra, as I like listening to the sound of the car itself so oem is fine :D

Not the best photo, but hopefully you can make it out.

Cheers- Dave :)

Your best bet is to just nip into halfords and have a play n pull ... No rudeness intended ha.

A lot these days the outer facia/edge trim comes off, so the actual radio sits flush behind the supes dash.

If I had already replaced mine, you could of bought my own j-spec off me. But money has stopped me replacing it - for now!

I just noticed on the Dragonball all the double dins I saw stuck out a few millimetres from the dash and I hate that :D

Pity you're not swapping yours!!

The oem looking ones spoil the whole car in my opinion.

LOL I just want it to be stock or stock looking, they don't look that bad.... Do they? :D

Tell me about it! I hate mine ha.

But with my turbo seals being an ass, I'm going to be losing a grand on them.

That does look very nice

But does it sit flush in the dash and doesn't stick out?

Not entirety sure on that model, I've never seen one in the flesh.

Friends got a pioneer app 2 radio, probably same as that. So I'll have a look the next time he's not in his fancy merc, but In the cube :-)

This was a Clarion C609 I had. Looked very OEM IMO.

Had built in Bluetooth and rear mount USB cable that comfortably reaches either the glove box or center console.

That's does look very oem, cheers for that. I'll look it up on ebay :)

Mines the one of the predecessors to that, great headunits. Love mine, the screen sits flush with the dash but the lip at the base with the button on it sticks out on mine as its designed to do. (pics in my build)
