prosty
Hello Have anyone fitted HEL brake lines to their car with the stock c-clips and pressure clip? Mine doesn't seem to fit that good. I can always tie it down with a zip tie or a hose clip but that seems a bit dumb , I thought the lines was supposed to fit just as good as the stock ones. The female connector that fits to the cars hardline doesn't look exactly like the stock ones, it fits fine and has the correct fitting (in the front) to fit the car, or is my c-clips just old and nasty? It does seem as if my c-clips are too small for my new lines. Please chime in
Big Mark
I have HEL lines and the C-clip doesn't fit that well at all. I think I made it fit the best I could.
prosty
I tried to push the pressure clip onto the hose but that just bent the clip so I guess I'll just make a two clips of my own, too bad, really nice connetors and banjos otherwise. I'd gone with goodridge had I known the fitment would be this rubbish with the HEL ones:). With the c-clip it would still rub and not sit snug in the holder so I'm putting a hose tie on them instead. Big Mark
I found equivalent Goodrich ones to be a lot more expensive. HEL connecters are stainless where Goodridge are Zinc coated for the same price, you need to pay more for the fully stainless Goodrich kit. Maybe contact HEL to let them know that they have an issue with their kit.
prosty
Yes the price I paid for my HEL Lines was 69 quid + shipping so it was very cheap

Shane
I wasn't too impressed with the Hel kit to be honest, I found it very hard to dress/position the rear ones in a way that they wouldn't foul on the inner edge of the rears wheels. It was the way they had been assembled, ie. the position of the banjo in relationship to the position to the flats at the other end. To get both ends in place without putting loads of twist strain on the flexi at the same time as getting the pipes to a form that didn't rub on the inner edge of the wheel was bit of a mission. One side was much worse than the other. Oddly, I had no problem with the clip fittings, they were fine on mine, and I should add that the front ones were fine. Does raise a few concerns re their QC though.
prosty
Yeah I noticed that you had to make sure the rear lines won't touch the wheels but I'm pretty sure I got that taken care of.
prosty
Sorted. I bought a set of 4 generic clips with larger mouth and I got it to fit real snug. Cost me ~7 quid extra . Happy with the result, looks like stock fitment now
Si_s Supe
I've fitted Goodrich all round on mine and had the same issue. The fronts fit exactly as stock, but the rear knuckles that sit in the bracket for the C-clip are not even close!

prosty
I bought a set from a local dealer here in Sweden This is the one http://www.mekonomen.se/bil/reservdelar/bromssystem/bromsslang/clips-for-bromsslang-ps486a23890sv (~3.5 GBP each) You should just go into the local parts shop with a stock clip and ask them to find a 1-2mm bigger mouth clip. Or just grind them a bit with a course file. I had to turn the front lines so they wouldn't slide through the hole of the holder so that the edge of the 17mm socket head was against the holder so the clip could press down the line against the holder. (lots of repetion of names here ) Not easy to explain but it works. I've tried to twisting pulling and bending the lines , and they won't budge a mm so it sits really tight now. prosty
Nice Find Mugello. Though the HEL lines doesn't fit as stock but with these you can make it work by using your head a bit Maybe I'll buy these just to be safe too thanks!

Richie_k83
Never tend to hear good things about Hel hoses being s good fit, definitely quite cheap though. SFS now build most Hel kits that are sold in the UK not that it means much
