Axle
I imagine with 1500hp he's going to be running 15x10 drag rears, there's no way you'll get a good rear brake setup in with those wheels. I think you'll end up with n/a rear brakes Axle. Unless you plan to run a normal tyre? Exactly, 15 inch rears. Hope it now makes sense.. Alex
Exactly, 15 inch rears. Hope it now makes sense.. Not really - I understand the physical constraints but fail to see why you'd create such a scenario....then I'd never bother with silly HP. Meh...just buy a parachute. pedrosixfour
What about converting the rear to an inboard brake set-up Axle? The confines of the rim are no longer an issue then. T'would take some fabricating, sure, but it's hardly impossible, and a proper balance could be maintained, as well as all the other advantages of such a set-up. http://www.minitruckinweb.com/tech/chassis/0612mt_custom_toyota_tacoma_chassis/
chazuk
The more I see this thread the more I think why? No brake fade, appox half the weight of normal discs ,withstand double the heat
Scott
No brake fade, appox half the weight of normal discs ,withstand double the heat The car is for the drag strip though, I believe, not the track. Parachute makes more sense when the limiting factor is the 15" rear wheel.

JamieP
Unless it's a track car I wouldn't bother wasting your money, for road or drag the normal big brake kits will easily over power the tyres many times mate
