Scott
Glad it's OK. Remember and bleed the radiator, it may have some airlocks. Also, keep an eye on your oil level

The replacement pump is fine, the reservoir is not. So I need to switch over the reservoir tomorrow
Swampy442
I changed the pump Scott for a supposed know, good pump that was incomplete. Scavenged the regulator from the old pump, refitted it and its groaning for England. Suggested to Mr Ken that maybe the res mesh filter was clogged so either clean or replace with the old res. Not a huge job but just a ball ache when you get 'good' parts.

Kendo11
Hmm. It has just developed an odd stutter while driving through town, almost slightly struggling for power. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's not firing right still. Is everything definitely spotless? The soot removed from the plugs?
Kendo11
Yes mate I actually changed the plugs for brand new ones and in between thoroughly cleaned the plug sockets etc. Also removed all the leads and cleaned them up too, and they are definitely in the right order. Kendo11
Still no news. Has been sat in a friendly garage for the past couple of days, should hopefully be looked at tomorrow in between his existing bookings.
Scott
When was the dizzy last changed?
Kendo11
Not sure mate, although the leads were in very good condition so I'd imagine relatively recently
Scott
I'd take it apart and have a look at the contacts mate.
Kendo11
Friendly mechanic still has the car, thinks it may be a fault code that needs clearing via the port
Scott
Doubt it. Codes generally don't cause intermittent stutters.
Kendo11
All sorted! Turns out the ecu was full of errors.

Kendo11
It had a few stored mate, from the plugs and leads getting coolant all over them, me driving it with the plugs in wrong, and a couple from previous problems. Either way it is definitely driving as it was before
