Split EGR pipe

It's a different setup to the J-Spec, but it looks like part of the fuel system as it appears to link to the FPR.

I'm pretty sure it's not fuel coming out as it would stink of petrol and it just smells like stale water.

The hose with the hole in is the one at the top left it connect to the metal pipe in the middle of the screen, it heads towards the back of the block. Can't see where exactly as it's deep in the belly of the beast. The hose with the hole can't be more than 4 inches long.

Yep, there's no mention of coolant lines or having to drain the coolant so it looks like it's not connected. Would some tape be sufficient to patch it up for now until I can source a replacement pipe ? It's firing water straight across the bay and I'm worried it's going to short something. It's not a constant jet and it only really comes out at high revs. I've only noticed on a cold engine as I was checking things over before DB.

How easy is that to get to Mike? I think I have some spare hose that size but it's not shaped or anything...

Back of the engine bay at the top, it's a bit awkward but not impossible to get to.

I'd go for a bit of silicone hose. Is it not linked to the cooling system, IE, part of the EGR cooler? Not sure if the supra has a water cooled EGR though.

Wouldn't it be leaking coolant though ? I'm using 4life which is red and the liquid coming out is water that smells like exhaust fumes.

I can't imagine WHY you would ever have liquid coming out of your EGR system !

Unless you have a blown head gasket, of course . . .

So personally I wouldn't be worried about the leak, but WHY there's liquid at all !

You can ignore it for now, or there's a way to disable the EGR via vac pipes, but if you are going on the Dragonball thing just wait until you get back. It won't give you any grief. EGR is a PITA, and probably better blanked off at some future date. It has nothing to do with cooling, it's just condensate in the exhaust and EGR system. Have a safe trip.
