JasonR24
Watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last night. I was very skeptical because I loved the originals, and aside from the few minor changes to the story line, all I can say is WOW. The film is amazing, graphics are out of this world, the story is really good, funny, drama and action. Can't go wrong. Agreed! Being a fan of this since I was a kid I was really worried they would mess it up but was pleased they didn't. Great film! Just watched Hercules. Taking this movie at face value I really enjoyed it. Loads of action from start to finish, a nice little twist on the usual Hercules tales with the right amount of character development to have you choosing a favourite. Another action flick full of cliché and predictability but filled to the brim with entertainment. If you understand what you are viewing before you watch it you will most likely thoroughly enjoy it. I really enjoyed the film but found a lot of it involved skipping parts of the story, as if scenes were connected loosely, didn't fit together well IMO but still enjoyed it. Going to see gone girl tonight so we will see how that turns out. Looking forward to seeing fury next week!

Scott
The Anomaly is tonight's viewing. Doesn't look particularly good but I'll give it a go. Seen a trailer for Wrong Turn 6.... seriously, who signed off on that?
JasonR24
Just got back from gone girl and have to say its definitely worth a watch! Can't go into much detail without spoiling it apart from that the deliberate blandness of the character plays perfectly to Ben Afflecks acting ability. Doesn't bode well for the new batman but oh well lol

Scott
Finished off the Anomaly yesterday. What should have been utter trash was only partially trash. The idea and the story is pretty good, similar plots have been known but it was a nice idea regardless. The acting is awful, some of the screenplay was horrendous and most of the cinematography is over the top jitter wise. In the end I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected, and perhaps than I should have. As much as it's full of faults it also has some wonderful ideas that I really enjoyed seeing played out. I doubt I'll watch it again, but I'm not looking for the 100 minutes of my life back just yet Brief plot: Guy wakes up, he has no idea where he is or what he is doing there. There's a young boy chained up and he starts to help him. A chase ensues by the captors but suddenly he blacks out, the next time he awakens he is in a different situation in different surroundings. He has very limited time to piece together what is going on and how to effect it. Extended Plot WITH SPOILERS******: The guy that wakes up is actually under mind control via nano technology, when he "wakes up" the satellite is being affected by a solar flare. It takes approx 10 minutes for the satellite to reboot and for the connection to be restored. Each time he awakens, he has 10 minutes before he will lose control again. He must try to figure out who is behind it all and feels the need to save the boy from the original scene.
Kendo11
Sounds very much like the sort of film that on demand services use just to beef up their selection on certain categories

Now for the main feedback, Megan Fox..........WTF has she done with her face???

Spunkmeyer
Recently ive seen A most wanted man (last Lawrence Seymour Hoffman film), actually pretty good for a John le Carre novel, I think quite a bit has been taken out from the book. quite a good ending. Was Automata - I liked it but I love science fiction. basically I-robot versus a little bit blade runner. Wrong Turn 6?? isn't that just called Lost? jamesmark
Didn't you enjoy it? I thought it was great Don't know, too much Botox maybe? I enjoyed it, but I actually wanted more. I think they could have refined the comedy a lot more. I was actually in stitches during the lift scene. And agreed with the Botox, as in some scene's her lips were pouting more than other times. When it went quiet I said to my mate all you need is elevator music and then bam, crying my eyes out. There did seem to be a lot of comedy, as if it was trying a bit hard. as a whole I loved it. I'm hoping they ramp things up with a sequel
kokoro
Dead Snow = snow, teens, zombie nazi's, tons of blood, gore and a sex scene on a toilet.... what more could you want for All Hallows Eve?

Scott
That messed me up as a kid!! Watching it now. Ironically, as a kid, I was absolutely fine watching it. Now, as an adult, it's seriously effecting me. Not because of my age, but simply because I'm a parent. My little girl is ages with the stolen girl in the film and I can't help but put engorge myself in the film and put myself in the Fathers position. As horrible as it is, I would be less effected by a kidnapping or something like that.... as I'd simply be out for blood. In this instance, I would be pretty much powerless and that scares me more than the actual plot of the movie does. I'm still thoroughly enjoying it though as it's an epic movie

The scene where she is in the TV calling out Daddy got me man, if I was in that situation I just wouldn't know what to do. Good old movies eh

The scene where she is in the TV calling out Daddy got me man, if I was in that situation I just wouldn't know what to do. Good old movies eh The best part of it is that it still keeps on giving mate. It still scares me, just in different ways. Horrors aren't made like this any more, it's all the shock and gore factor now. Very few jumps in the poltergeist, it had it all though.... psychology is always the best way to hit with a horror, multiple levels just gives it the broad life that most movies don't have. Edit: Don't get me wrong, there are still massive holes in this one. The current scene is just ridiculous. You wouldn't even see the saloon doors swinging as I got out of there with my kid, as I would have taken them with me, the fact they are still in that house makes absolutely no logical sense. Edit again: I thoroughly enjoyed that. I've always enjoyed the movie but I seen it from a different angle this time. Regardless it still had all the original charm that I remember with only an additional fear due to my own circumstances, overall a very well done movie. Other than the above obvious bit of stupidity it's a fairly linear story for me and even added a tiny bit of humour at the end just as a cherry on top. Why this movie was followed up I'll never know, but perhaps I'm doing the sequel an injustice as I only remember the Dad drinking Scotch and becoming a bit of an arse in the sequel. I'll definitely give it another viewing, the 3rd instalment I remember being dross though.... even as a kid.
