Ric
Hi guys and gals, I've been thinking about how I can attach my number plate to my new ridox bumper. Ideally I don't want to use the stickers and it has to be easily removable and i 100% don't want any holes. I did think about epoxying some metal on the inside of the bumper and perhaps covering some magnets in some soft material (so it doesn't scratch the bumper) do you think it would be powerful enough to hold the plate at speed? Or does anybody else have any other ideas? On another note, does anybody have the dimensions of the small plates that Jurgen fits to his cars? That's the size id like. Al Massey
If you epoxied some magnets on the inside and had magnates attached to the number plate it will work. Just depends how the magnets are attached to the plate really.
Fizzy T
Could make up a bracket that fits to the underside of the bumper or the underside of the radiator support panel. That way the plate would be low and centred. Wouldn't block any air to a fmic if you had it either. If anything it would help direct it
kitch79
My JM one is 330mm x 110. But it's only 4 characters long I reckon they'd have to be pretty strong magnet, we've had 110volt temp lights which have magnets on at work, magnet to steel, a nightmare to pull off, few mm on cordex (fire proof plastic sheet) between and they move and knock off quite easily. evinX
Double sided tape from Halfords, if you want to remove it later on, the foam breaks away and just use some label remover I got mine from maplins...

Speaking of tape, this stuff is outrageously sticky! Outside use is fine too.
skyline1
Velcro, it's what I use , rip the plate off when washing the car and goes back on no problems.
Branners
Mine is on a gopro mount hanging down off the underside of the bumper, means I can quick release it if needs be, but wont rip off as the gopro mounts are designed to stay on at speed. Here is a picture of how it looks.

abtin90
I just have mine stuck to my windscreen, no hassle and keeps the front of the car looking good I used to do that on my supra but ended up getting pulled over and got a £30 fine
abtin90
You could always have an electric folding one made like the one on jay_nw's car.
Ric
Thanks for the ideas, Abtin90, do you have any more details on that? Branners, I'll have to look into it, I was hoping for something that wouldn't cover the intercooler up as we all know a shiny looking cooler adds 50bhp. Best to contact Simon at autobody solutions as he was the one who did it. I think SRD do them now too. sideexitsupra
I had a non legal bike size plate on mine. Never had a problem from the boys in blue, only the MOT man. Velcro is you friend.
