Guest davew90
Hi folks just a quick question. I've got a set of evo 5 recaros lying around so thinking of sticking them in the supra. Just wondering if anyone else has done this? And do they fit with the standard rails?
kitch79
Yup. Mine are evo 5s (or 6) But nope, unless you got supra recaros then they won't fit the standard fabric rails. I bought brides new from Japan, which cost more than the seats ha.
Guest davew90
Cheers for the quick reply. Can the standard rails be modified to fit them or is it not worth the hassle.
safcdixon
Some have chopped the feet of the stock rails and welded them on to universal sliders

The-Plethora
I've tried to get some seats fitted lately and it's a big pain. You could mod the seat rails but think it would look fairly ugly. There is a guy on the forum who makes seat rails in 2 different lengths which would be by far the best (possibly cheapest too) solution. He is having his car painted at the moment so there will be a little wait as his own car is used to make sure everything lines up before it goes out. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249192-Low-Mount-Custom-seat-frames/page4&highlight=low+mount+seat

JamieP
I fitted my evo 9 seats using johns brackets in the link above, drilled 4 holes and bolted the evo sliders to them, very easy to do, I fitted both seats in two hours. You can see the johns brackets in the picture, I will paint them black when I get time.
