gt4tosupra
I recently bought some really nice ats split rims, 18x 10j on the rear, with 285 rubber. Rear passenger side tyre keeps touching arch when I go over a bump or turn right, but driver side is fine. This is the strut I now swapped out on passenger side. Quick search on Google seems to say that they are kyb. The driver side is the same btw. So am I best just finding a decent condition replacement the same as this? Or should I try get one kyb adjustable and then I have the option of highering it to make it right? It's a Soarer btw but of course suspension is same as supra
sideexitsupra
Yeah, KYB. I had them on my Supe when I got it. I also had the same problem, drivers front was lower than the rest. Not sure you would be able to swap just one though. You would need to do a pair, minimum. I got a set of BC coil overs from Whifbitz in the end. gt4tosupra
Oh ffs. Don't wanna buy coilovers as don't want the harsh ride etc. Looks like the std replacement I swapped over for today does sit at the same height, but spring rate must just be softer than the other side
gt4tosupra
Kyb agx, where would I get brand new ones of them if I go that way? Do they change ride height?
drew 007
Wasn't they an optional extra? if so i can't see you finding a new one now buddy?
gt4tosupra
Wasn't they an optional extra? if so i can't see you finding a new one now buddy? I rang kyb and they said Ye, jap only version, old school! He seemed to think it sounds like the springs knackered, so he suggested buying new rear springs and swapping them over. I used a good amount of force before to push this piston in,and it took about 30 seconds to come back out. Is that right? No signs of leaks either
gt4tosupra
Well these are the state of my front bottom strut bushes, so I mays well go for 4 new struts. What do people recommend? Bearing in mind I don't want harsh coilovers
