Al Massey
I wanted more space for tools in the boot but wanted to keep the spare wheel. Plus, the carpet fitted horribly and it was doing my head in. So I decided to build something, then used leather to cover the panels, and my rear seat delete sub box. I'm pretty chuffed with myself, first time I've built anything like this Before pic Everything out Flashing/sound deadening Mock up of the frame Top panels cut out Still have access to the wheel Can access the side bits for tools etc Leather in place, what a pain that was Recovered the rear seat delete And the whole boot fitted back together

pete.osborne69
Nicely done, don't think I would be putting shopping in with those sub's though I'd be to scared that a tin of beans might roll over and damage them lol, how did you manage to get the frame to stand up right without moving / making a noise when driving

The frame has carefully been made so it follows the floor plan of the boot and the back covers the whole back of the spare wheel well so is solid. Al Massey
Ah all is good then its a nice neat job and everything is protected It's load bearing too, can hold my weight kneeling/sitting on every panel. I'll be redoing the leather at some point and adding a bit of padding to go underneath I think.

Kaan W
That looks well smart, I would be inclined to cover the plastic in leather to match. Good job!
Al Massey
Its quite a build is the padding for the leather or part of the sound deadening? It will just be padding to go under the leather, give it a softer feel and not solid. That looks well smart, I would be inclined to cover the plastic in leather to match. Good job! Cheers bud, I was thinking that, luckily the plastic and the leather go together for now :/
skippyboyo1
That looks well smart, I would be inclined to cover the plastic in leather to match. Good job! Big job this.... Everything links so you would end up doing all boot plastics which link in to the rear speaker covers etc.
