As you can see by the photos, the trim is not sitting flush against the window as it should. At the front it is, it's just the back part which leads towards the middle of the door.

I was taking the door cards off today along with sound deadening cover thing as I'm getting ready for some new mirrors... and noticed it smelled really bad and lots of moisture and some water drops in there. I'm thinking that's because of the exposed hole at the top.

I believe it was like this when I purchased the car nearly 2 years ago, someone must of tried breaking into it or something.

Anyways is there any suggestions how I can about to repair this? Would like this done before the door is put back together.

Can the trim be somehow adjusted, or would I need to purchase new trim? or is it not the trim and possibly another issue?

regards

Pictures won't load on my phone but it sounds as if it's not clipped in correctly, I had this on one side when putting my trim back on as I tried to fit it with the window still up. You will need the window down as they clip in at an angle I believe 5 clips that have to slot in the holes in the door.

To take them off, it's two screws one either end once the door card is removed.

Once they are out it's a simple case of rolling motion towards the car so inwards and they pop off.

The clips so to say slot down vertically through a number off holes. Mine are currently going back on due to a respray.

There are three bolts on each window. I dismantled two doors on Saturday. You can remove them with the window up. There are slots in the door panel to access them.

In order to slide it out you will also have to unbolt and remove two stopper. These two control the top height of the window when up.

It's very easy.
