Hello all,

 

As probably guessed from my username, im Jeroen. I currently live in odijk, closeby utrecht in holland, BLABLABLA, i can go on and on about this, but that doesnt matter to you all, you guys want cars, so ill give a quick line up leading to my current car..... the Supra

 

I started when i was 15 years old (and far from being legal to drive) by gettin a race car and my racing license to participate in the dutch time attack series:

from this i stepped up my game, when i went back to the middle east for my international internship, having just passed my driving test a week prior to going back to the east, i was able to fullfill a lives dream, and got a E46 M3CS

if it wasn't for the engine blowing up completely just over a year ago, i would still have it in my possession and never have bought a supra, i must admit. I was, and still am hooked on the sound (no other car can compete to the sound of a E46 M3) and looks of a E46 M3!!

 

However, gone back to uni and less time for work, i had to downgrade. So i got something that everyone is always possitive about. people swear by it etc etc, i found it a unbelievable piece of shit... a Mazda MX5 (Miata). It isnt even picture worthy so ill spare u guys that.

 

With the miata sold after 6 months, i started looking around again. Looking at lots of options, i thought about a supra again (almost bought one when i was 15 to build into a race car). Which it became.

 

Its a from the factory red Targa 2JZ-GTE with an automatic. These days it a factory red targa with a 5 speed manual and a 2JZ-GE engine.... No mods on it at all other than the Rota wheels and the Blitz Nur rear muffler (not even catback).

Do i have plans? HELL YEAH!, I wanna build a 500+ WHP roadcar which i can also take to the track and back.... How im going to do that is unknown yet, but im thinking of first putting a 2JZ-GTE back, the way it was out of the factory!

Thx gentlemen for the positive feedback on my car history

 

currently am looking for a catback system, however it needs to be one that would also fit on a GTE engine... any thoughts? (only a blitz muffler is toooooo quiet for me!!)

Been of from here for a while now (actually forgot my thread here) so time for a small update.

 

Has alot been changed on the car? no not really, only ripped my front bumper up with my universities "spring trial" as we call it here, ferry was to high, so couldnt get on properly causing it to rip :/

 

so far any changes to the car? well ive swapped the original steering wheel out for my old racing wheel including bosskit with a snap off system (nice steering wheel position now) Also got some new tires fitted (destroyed my left tires by hitting a curb with high speed) opted for the Federal 595 RS-R and so far am happy with them, cornering speeds i made were already higher than with my old continental tires!

 

Also got invited for a car shoot at the end of June, heres some material from that shoot

Ive also bought the replica Ridox widebody that was for sale on the site here recently, , hopefully it gets delivered before i return from my holiday (12 aug) still undecided wether i start mounting it straight away when am back or wait untill after my next fotoshoot (14th september) so i dont have to rush it, (car has to be there, i organise the shoot myself and the models have to be in lingerie instead of normale clothes... which guy doesnt want pix like that of his car?)

 

Car will also be wrapped, the color thats in my head mainly is : matte chrome green. However am also considering matte gold with black wheels/mirrors/doorhandles (this will be done with any color)

 

not very acurate as the car is too metallic but the following picture gives a good color estimate...

ofcorse only the body will be green, not the lights and number plates etc.

been a while again i see. Any updates on the car? so far not really! looking into a turbo setup at the moment. Just not quite sure yet if i wanna go the NA-T route, or swap an 2JZ-GTE in to start with and thn slowly convert that to a single turbo setup etc.

 

What would you guys do? GTE or NA-T?

Havent posted anything for a while, so here goes:

 

i did the 2JZ-GTE swap, took me half a year to complete and way cost double of what most people probably would of paid for it, but ow well shit happens.

 

Also placed an BLITZ ecu to replace the factory ECU, as i didnt want to use an FCD and a SLD, and found a standalone ECU way to expensive for a stock engine (in heinsight, i should of gone with a standalone ECU).

 

Also pllaced a 1st and 2nd decat with restrictor ring and an FMIC and some BRIDE bucket seats, had some fun with the car, did a nice day of "rallying" (JAPRUN 2015)

From JAPRUN 2015 we fast forward to the weekend of 18 & 19 july. Me and a mate left at 5:15AM to go to the ring for a weekend of fun, sadly we never even left holland as my engine gave up just after half an hour of driving on the road, first we thought it were the turbo's that gave up their lives. We dropped the car the same morning at the local specialist "suprasport". They told me that my 6th cilinder has (probably) completely disintegrated. They should of started last thursday with pulling the engine out for a complete rebuild, sadly they have not started yet. I hope they do soon, and rebuild it properly (bought the engine from them, and they did the biggest part of the instal after i could not get it done myself). Im just hoping it wont be to expensive after im planning to sell the car straight after the rebuild anyways....

i now have a couple of choices:

 

1) sell it as a project car (if anyone is interested send me a PM)

2) get another 2JZ-GTE engine and get that fitted

3) go big single (least likely, costs way more then fitting another 2JZ-GTE)

 

Each has their own appeal ofcorse, for now am still calculating what the best-cheapest decision would be...
