dyno questions

Hi all , car going for mot friday ( will pass) after being off the road the last 6 months while I completed going bpu, fitting BC coilovers and a full respray, also booked in for a dyno run, having never run a car on a dyno, I'm a bit nervous ! All levels and oil good, how much stress does this put on the engine ? Mine has a full service history new cambelt, 130k on the clock . its a j spec TT vvti auto, any help, ideas or advice welcome.

I will have some low mileage twins if they do go pop like nicks did 😉

Seeing this has got me thinking (makes a change I suppose).

 

Before I start on my NA-T project it would be good to get a baseline of where the car is before I start. In the UK I'm in Holbeach, S.Lincs which makes the nearest places of any size Peterborough and Boston. Does anyone know of anywhere reasonably close to me that can do a quick dyno run so I can impress myself with the power gains after the work is finished. The car is almost 20 years old with a listed 225 at the crank so right now anything over 150 rwhp would be a bonus.
