gt4tosupra
Hey guys, my Soarer is too low on the front. My old Soarer had supra tt ohlins all round and sat at a height I was happy with. Question is, do supra standard, supra bilsteins, and supra ohlins all sit at the same height?
Chris Wilson
If it has Bilsteins on the front I can machine them to give a higher ride height.

Cheers Chris, but sorry I didn't mention in the above post that my car now is on std Soarer suspension atm, with some sort of lowering springs. gt4tosupra
Anyone know the answer then?
Chris Wilson
OE "Bilsteins", the ones made under licence by Toyota, and the stock black painted dampers, given the same springs, differ in the ride height they achieve. The Toyota Bilsteins sit the car a tad lower, but it's not much at all. However, the Toyota Bilsteins were matched to different springs particular to that option, which in COMBINATION with the Toyota Bilsteins did drop the car about 10 or 15 mm. Toyota never had an "Ohlins" option. Like proper Bilsteins are made in Germany, proper Ohlins are made in Scandinavia. The Ohlins one sees on many imports are made under licence in Japan and VERY different and inferior to the Scandinavian ones, which is why they are so much cheaper. Guest crystal
You can't compare KW to Ohlins sorry. KW is basicly Belltech the same company that make LSD Lambo doors. And S-10 drop kits. http://dailydigitaldeals.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/11/20/buy.gif Interesting. I've heard very good things about KW through the years. Any sources for your statements? It looks like you're into drag racing rather than road racing... ?

Cheers Chris, so really 15mm isn't much difference as u say, so standard or bilstein will do for then You can't compare KW to Ohlins sorry.
