Gretie22
Got in the car to come home this evening to find my seatbelt was wet when I pulled it out. I'm thinking there's probably a leak coming from one of the seals. Has anyone had this happen and if so where was the leak coming from? Any ideas where to check? safcdixon
Mine has a leak in the same places both sides, on mine its the rear 1/4 windows seaping, it only does it when its raining hard and very windy though
Gretie22
Yeah it's rained particularly hard today, never happened before. Any idea if we'll be able to fix it or will it need taking somewhere?

Not sure on yours tbh but on mine i think its when i refitted my rear windows last year maybe not quite enough glue on the refit, yours could possibly be the top corners of the door seal too as they start to wear and need replaceing

add heywood
Yep, rear 3/4 window seal will be leaking. Happened on mine when they were put back after the respray on the driver side...
Gretie22
Right having a look now, got the plastic trim off inside the car, it's bone dry everywhere except the seatbelt. So I have no idea where it's coming from all the rubbers look in pretty good nick. Any other ideas?
MattP
I have only ever seen this happen when the car has had the rear quarter windows out and not refitted with enough sealant it did it on both my old mr2 after respray But didnt happen on the Supra as I caked the windows on with Tiger seal. Are you aware of the car having respray at any point or windows out?
add heywood
It will drip directly on to the rolled seatbelt. I was the same, carpet and everything was dry, i thought id have the carpet soaking but nothing... May only be a very small leak but the seatbelt material will hold the water
Gretie22
Well I've owned the car for four years now and the window hasn't been out and it's never leaked before. Must just be a very slight leak when it rains really hard.
Timlowthian
I have this problem as well and it's coming in from the seal around the door. Where it ends at the drivers door. Peeled it back and Moss was growing under it.
Dazzi
The happened to mine and my gf's supra. Open the boot and there's a seam at the top left and right where rain water runs down off the roof. We found these seams had come apart due to age/rust and leaked water into the boot area behind the plastic panels. The sound deadening material stuff was absorbing the water at the highest point at the back and depositing it at the lowest point at the front right onto the front seat belts. I removed all the panels and poured water down the car to find it! HTH Edited April 21, 2014 by Dazzi (see edit history)
