ashbuster
i bought a rad and when it arrived the lower outlet neck is like this still useable? or would it need sending back
Rich.2211
Surely the lower rad hose isn't going to stay attached to that for very long! Just send it straight back mate.
johnd-mkiv
I hope it was cheap!!! Don't use it mate send it back or cut it off and have a new one welded on
Dnk
Fit a new one, the rad is a most critical part and that looks like its fit for the bin
Swampy442
Mullered. The hose won't attach plus the restriction in flow. Bin it.
Chris Wilson
Most exhaust fitting centres have air operated stepped cones that expand inside pipes to put swages in them, remove the crimp exhaust clamps leave, or to resurrect deformed pipes. Careful use of one of those, or even careful use of a hefty internal mandrel and a small hammer on the outside will repair that. I doubt the restriction where the stub enters the bottom tank will have much detrimental effect, a thermostat, fully open, is far more restrictive, albeit part of the flow / pressure design. I certainly wouldn't bin it and would feel 90% sure I could make it perfectly serviceable at zero cost to myself, save time.
Guest Budz86
Anyone else wondering how that happened!? Chop it off and weld a new neck on; job done.
Dnk
How old is the rad ? if its as old as it looks i'd rather fit a new one and no its in tip top condition for the fresh engine it's being fitted too It's not like they're huge money

bambisdad
Can't ever see this being usable. I would just ditch it.
buster
Can't ever see this being usable. I would just ditch it. Really only some small fabrication to get it back to working order
