alex341
Anyone done this? My brake lights, indicators, reverse lights and even headlights work but not the tail lights. Im pretty sure the tail lamp failure sensor is the cause of this. Just curious to see if it works before i buy a new sensor.
Swampy442
The sensor is just that, a sensor, its passive. It just monitors the resistance in the circuit, an increase puts the warning light on, it has no control whatsoever on the lights. Your problem lies elsewhere. Kev.O
Is your lamp failure bulb lit? Could be a broken wire. From memory the number plate lights are fed before the control module so it'll be worth seeing if they work. If they do then the issue is at the back end of the car. Chris Wilson
Using LED's with their lower current draw, instead of bulbs, can fool the sensor into thinking a bulb is inoperative.
supradanturbo
I know it’s been 9 years single the last reply. but I am having this exact same issue. mall lights working including numberplate light. Just no rear lights. No blown fuses etc. a few years ago I soldered a bridge on the board which solved this issue. now the bridge is still in place but no rear lights. Any help would be much appreciated

Any help would be much appreciated I had this issue on mine few months ago, and it turned out to be fuse in fuse inside car on drivers side. fuse didn't look blown but replaced with new and tail lights were working on good again, may be worth to replace fuse just to be 100%. supradanturbo
Was it the fuse up next to the accelerator pedals. Marked “tail” I’ve checked all the fuses with my metre to be sure

supradanturbo
Gonna stick a new one in just to rule it out. But I belled the fuse out. Next step is to try another lamp failure module
supradanturbo
New fuse tried. Still no luck. Gonna try a different lamp failure module over the weekend. Then need to work out how to link out the unit, if a working unit fixes the problem
