Knight racer strike again... Shocking stuff!

How not to adjust genuine bride rails.. Knight Racer Ltd wanted £100 for this dangerous attempt welding a washer?!? in and some other poor fabrication.. Dangerous isn't the word!!!

This is going in an R34 skyline.. Chances are that would snap under load let alone in a crash!

They were also tasked with about 3 grand of work full spray and fitting the JDL nismo Z Tune kit

After having my mates car for 6 weeks without so much as starting the work.. Tried to put an extra grand on the bodywork when the body shop only wanted an extra £500.. They've also marked the car all over and scuffed the side skirts... As prior threads warn..Stay away folks!

I didn't think they were ever classed as good. I have been here since 2006 and they have always been slated by people who had work done.

I saw one car in the flesh and the run marks in the paint and poor fitting bumpers drove me potty and it wasn't my money they had stolen used.

I got a doluck bumper from them a few weeks ago.

It should have come in a gel coat finish, ready for priming. It didn't. It was still covered in dust from the sanding process (which wasn't up to scratch either. Resin runs, and pinholes everywhere.)

It had no fixing points, and the fibreglass where the fixing points should be, were a. Not strong enough to mount from, and b. Not big enough to put the mounting holes in the correct place.

It was also damaged when it turned up to top things off.

After all that, I circled with a pencil all the damage and sent it back.

After that, I confirmed they had it back, and it then had to wait almost two weeks for a refund. Oh, and I only got that because I threatened a dispute via eBay and PayPal.

And in case anyone is interested, I was told over the phone by KR, "we'll just repair it and put it back out for sale".

Bunch of cowboys. I think the community on the whole gave them a second chance because of the quality GTR items they were producing, but this just goes to show that they haven't changed.

This. I won't buy from them again now. Not even TRD spoiler end caps.

Some of you may remember my dispute with Replikit. "Guaranteed 100% fitment". So I had it delivered straight to the bodyshop and when it was painted and owed me £400, I went over and we fitted it and it was shocking. I rang them, they made me do a 140 mile round trip because they "guaranteed" that they could make it fit. I got there and he said "Oh. That doesn't fit, does it?" We'll make you a new one. As if that was going to be any better.

Like Listy, they told me they would usually just re-sell it, but didn't want the bumper back as it couldn't be sold on as it had been painted, and so refused a refund. I had to offer to go around their shop like the tazmanian devil, which worked, and I got reimbursed, and a Do-Luck replica that had been "test fitted". When it turned up, it took my dad (body shop owner of 35 years) 4 days to make it fit!!!

Never ever ever buy anything from anyone that guarantees fitment. They physically cannot guarantee it unless they have a car there to try every bumper on.

I can't believe some people still fit fiber glass parts! Especially bumpers or side skirts.... I learned way back in 2000 if the parts arrive and fit "good" which is rare, they will crack over time or with the slightest knock get totaly wrote off.

I view cars with fiber glass parts as bodge. Go plastic or nothing is my view as I learned the hard way.

With this company I also can't believe anyone especially on here buys anything from them! As my dad always says "a smart man learns from another mans mistakes"

I think a few years ago they were specialising in Supra's with Turbofit next door etc, they had a lot of business from Supra owners, so their kits and items were good quality.

Obviously things have changed, perhaps now their speciality is GTR's hence they have good parts and now Supra's are just a product line.

Does that make it ok to sell poor quality products?
