Strange noise at low RPM.

Hello everyone.

I have recently fire up my freshly rebuild 1.5JZ and at low RPM there is some strange noise coming out of the engine.

Does it sound familiar to any one?

I'm going to have a look around the clutch and other parts as soon as I'm in the garage.

Hopefully it's not something serious...

Cam timing? What ecu? Is it the EXACT correct one to match the engine??!! If aftermarket it sounds like too much ignition advance. And that's NOT the way to set the idle, it should be under idle valve control, and the throttle stop set to give the correct TPS setting. I would find the issue before you run it any more, it sounds as if it's having a hard time :)

Just spoke to my mapper. Timming is fine and ecu doesn't show any detonation.

The engine was put together like 12 months ago so it might need to sattle down a bit?

Will change an oil and take off the cam covers to see is the oil going all around the engine.
