Scooter Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Private sales are worth a look, I just missed a TT aerotop the other day for sub £5k that's now at a trader at over £7K......was one UK owner for the last 12 odd years, would have been a great buy. I think of all mine only 2 have been from dealers, in my early days I had to watch the pennies so looking for the best value for money nearly always meant looking at private sales...less and less good ones these days though. Another one I'd say is worth a look is Torque GT. I've not had any personal dealings with them, but know people who have and can't say I've heard any nasty stories. My supra came from torque GT and there service was great. However jm imports are the guys unless looking for an NA as they don't stock them as they aren't worth it financially. Last year, I was waiting till it hit uk soil before buying... Then some git paid in full while it was still on the ship! I was gutted. £6k, grade 4, 46k miles. It landed while the DVLA were on strike but the guys there were really helpful and pushed the boat out to help Rich out getting his car on time. Likewise my friend Nath has just brought a grade 4B completely stock S15 spec R in pewter grey from Torque GT.
