Help! car wont start after engine rebuild

Hi all,

been doing a standard engine rebuild, got the engine back in the car, all wired up etc. but wont start.

the engine turns over fast and free, has fuel and spark.

when turning over it shows no sign of life, not even a cough or splutter.

the only thing i can think of is the crank sensor, the plate that sits on the bottom timing belt gear could be in the wrong position.

any advice would be apreciated!

thanks

Jonny

Try spraying easy start in the intake and see if it runs.

I wouldn't try that if the timing is well out.

Check the timing first, most likely it is out by a lot for it not to start.

Also check the codes in the ecu

Make sure map sensor and water temp are plugged in correctly and no broken wires

I didn't believe his timing was out but he didn't state of there was fuel at the rail or in the cylinders so it was a suggestion to see if it's just the injectors ain't firing. I had this issue when for some reason my ign feedback wire had broke, it would get one pulse then nothing.
