crock
hi i'm crock (mike) from the edge of teesside i've been lurking on the forum for a while now feeding from the wealth of knowledge, i'm looking to purchase a new car next month after i get the tax and insurance out the way this month of my current car (rather modified suzuki jimmy) the toss up is between a r32 GTR or a TT manual supra, preferably a uk spec if i can find one due to the reduced insurance costs, after some research i'm leaning towards the supra due to the high maintenance costs of the gtr, i'm lead to belive the supra costs are much less, i do have one question, may seem a bit daft, but would a set of golf clubs fit in a supra boot? cheers in advance mike
Lbm
Hi Crock and welcome to the club. Regarding golf clubs, I would say yes, certainly with the rear seats down. Hopefully an actual golfer will be along in a minute

Stevo
Welcome Mike. Yes, golf clubs do fit in the back but you'll need to drop the seats to accommodate a trolley too.

crock
just thought i'd bump this up as i'm now a proud owner of a white TT6 supra, it has been a long day traveling and i havent been home long, but what a car i've fallen in love straight away. once its light and i've got some time off work i'll start a topic on the car and upload some pictures one from her first fill up, surprising i've managed the 200 mile drive home and only used 1/2 a tank i was expecting much worse

crock
So not much has really happened with my supra recentely, i've just replaced all 4 tyres for ultrac sentanna's, fitted the spoiler and been out spent alot on fuel and loved every second of it, i've just been purchasing the last couple of bits and bobs i needed to BPU the car, MOT is due on the 23rd of this month so i'm going to wait untill after to fit my bpu parts and saves the hassel of having the car decatted and trying to pass. heres some pictures of the car below, She doesn't look bad for a 20yr old girl i spent 4 hours cleaning and polishing the car, this is new to me after owning a modified 4x4 for the previous years which I liked mucky as it added to the look i think i need some practise as i wasnt overly impressed with the finish after my efforts but it was turning dusk as i finished so hopefully i'm happier when a bit of sunlight gets onto the paint Edited October 3, 2014 by crock (see edit history)

crock
So today it got to to around 1pm and I had nothing to do and seeing as it was my last day off I didn't want to waste it, so I decided the sensible idea was to travel to the other side of the country and go for a drive around the lake district, well because why not? So I started off in Keswick and had a drive down the side of the lake towards Honister Pass which was a fantastic drive I then continued on to Buttermere which i think is the best lake in the lakes and stopped at a spot I use every time I'm in the lakes for a quick picture over looking the lake After that I traveled down the A591 towards Windermere which was a great road to drive, I didnt take any pictures on this section of the trip. After Windermere I traveled round the back of Coniston back towards Ambleside and onto the best road of the day, Kirkstone pass what a road that was I loved every second of it, maybe because it was empty the whole way along apart from one car which was kind enough to pull in to let me continue past I then continued round round Ullswater from one end to the other fantastic drive right on the lake side Last picture of the day overlooking Ullswater from Howtown, but the light was now fading and starting to rain on an off so time to call it a day And this is the end result 327m (not Km) Best part of £140 of fuel and a bit of a detour on the way home due to a diversion and me missing a turn off so ended up in Durham rather than Teesside Money well spent if you ask me, what better way to spend an afternoon than driving round such an amazing place on some fantastic roads

crock
Hi mate and welcome to the site, i live in redcar so only down the road really, car looks good and the lakes is a nice drive in the supra, anytime you fancy a slow cruise give me a shout yeah redcars only 2 mins away, be good to meet some local supra owners, so i'd deffinately be up for meeting at some point lovely pics, Honister Pass looks like an epic road! Ill have to visit it If you are over that way its deffinately worth looking into driving the views are just epic, I'll be heading back over in the near future, maybe head a bit further into the western lakes and see what the roads are like that way Nice ride! I did notice that you cant decide whether to keep the spoiler on or off?! That said, epic drive and great use of filters. thanks for the comments, regarding the spoiler i was waiting for the stock spoiler to arrive thats why i was running spoilerless but the look did grown on me however i will be keeping the spoiler on now, I dont think the pictures have came out too bad considering i'm just using my mobile phone, the quality would be better as i've uploaded them to facebook from my phone and then saved them to my laptop to upload from here and facebook compresses the hell out of quality
